Pro Markers

I succumbed on Friday and ordered some pro markers and they came yesterday afternoon but I was to busy to have a play.
I also bought some bleed proof marker paper but it is very thin and I don't think it will be any good for card making.
I stamped onto the bleed proof paper with stazon but when I coloured the image the ink smudged. I had a go on an image that has been stamped for a while on card and it was OK.
Please has anyone got any advice on which is the best permanent ink to use with the alcohol based pens.

Thanks for looking Sue :o)

Oh goodness me Sue - welcome to the addictive world of the Promarker! I cannot leave mine alone. I use Versafine and the Creative Smooth with mine and so far haven't had any problems. I have found though that if you use the black Versafine as opposed to the grey that a quick heat set does help. Have fun. Lol Lynn x

Hi Sue, I use Promarkers and I use Creative Smooth cardstock (the smoother the better!)and either Stazon or Versafine. I tend to stamp my images the night before and let them dry. HTH.

Hi.I love my promarkers, but I also have trouble with the ink smudging.I tried stazon and versafine and they both smudged with me!!I now emboss the images as it is the only way I can stop the ink from smudging.x

I have found that the stazon smears no matter what for me and read that it is the alcohol markers. If you stick to dye inks preferable heat set or really dry it works best... and congrats you will now be addicted and want even more!!!

Oh... and the bow in her hair.... it is a real light lavendar and dark purple... didn't work so well huh?

Hi Sue

I use Impress Raised Dye Inkpad with my Copics, you can get this inkpad for under £3 from Hobbycraft, its is absolutely excellent you don't have to heat set it or leave it overnight etc, I can use my copics with it straight away. The copics that I get are £1.99, the same price as the Letraset markers I believe, but I was so happy to find a cheap inkpad to use with them. Have fun xx
