Sad Sad Day!!

I know lots of you have dogs so you will know how my husband and I are feeling tonight.
Sadly we had to have the vet to our house this evening to help Bailey to a better place away from his pain and suffering.

He was almost 14 and had been blind for many years but had recently developed a kind of dementure which made it almost impossible for him to find his way about without knocking his head on furniture and walls and this last week he had also stopped eating.

I know we have done the right and proper thing but it is still very difficult to come to terms with.
We have gone from having 2 dogs 18 months ago to none and the house is very empty.

This was taken in happier times when he was blind but coped very well.

Oh Suzanne, I'm so very sorry. Of course you have done the right and best thing but it must be so hard for you and your husband.
We have a dog and I can't bear to think of the day she goes.
I know it sounds very trite but your beautiful dog was obviously loved very much and had a long and very happy life.
I think some people find it hard to understand why dog owners get so upset when their pet dies but dogs are so wonderful and loving. They ask for nothing except a little of your time. They are always pleased to see you no matter what. My heart goes out to you!

love

Sue. I am so sorry to hear the news about Bailey. You mentioned last weekend that he was poorly, this is the best for him but not you, it is heartbreaking to loose a member of the family and you will never forget him. You will have lots of lovely memories of him to make you smile again soon.

Lots of Love Natalie x

So sorry to hear about your loss. Pets are a wonderful addition to your life and to lose 2 so quickly together is heart- breaking.
May the passing days get easier for you both. I'm sure that both your pets are woofing at you from the great big kennel in the sky - woof, woof x-x-x-x-

Sue, big hugs, I do know how you feel, Avro our cocker spaniel died in my arms a few years ago and the place was so empty without her we went and got Piper, followed a year ago by Aero. They bring such joy during their lifetimes and are sadly missed. RIP Bailey. annie x
