37 years !!!!!

is how long I have been married today.... I have had all the jokes in work today thanks!!!
I am off to weigh in at WW then I am going to have a blow out I don't normally do this as I can't see the point of being good all week then undoing it on weigh in day...but I do have a good excuse tonight.
Here is the card I made quickly for Hubby last night I just don't seem to have the inspiration to go into my craft room at the moment.
Maybe when the darker nights and shorter days are back.. but at the moment I am just enjoying the long evenings.
Hope you are all well and thanks for looking Sue :o)

Cyber Hugs and Kisses to Michelle

I know I am a bit late posting this but hopefully Michelle may have received this by now.
I have been with Michelle since the beginning of her blog and she has been a great friend over the past few years and although I have never had the pleasure of meeting this amazing lady she has always shown me so much kindness and support sometimes sending me things from the states that I can't get here.
Saturdays are not quite the same without her donkey, dog and goat updates and of course we all miss here talent and inspiration from her crafty posts.

My thoughts are with Michelle and he wonderful husband at this time but I am sure with the help and support of her amazing family and all her blogging friends she will come through this a stronger person she will not let this beat her.
If by any chance you have not read about Michelle's sad accident or had the pleasure of her wonderful blog you can find out all about it here.

Great big cyber hugs and kisses to Michelle and her family (animals included) Sue :o)

Long Time No See Again!!!!

I have been forced into my craft room today as it is Becci's Birthday on Tuesday.
She expressed great delight at these little owls when she saw them in my craft magazine when we were on holiday.
So of course I had to use them, the little box holds some very bright Virgin Vie nail polish that she also saw in a magazine when we were away, they have been all sold out for a while...a girl at work managed to get me some via her niece that sales Virgin Vie.. Becci will have such a surprise.

This cute little box bag was made with instructions from the whiff of joy tutorial blog it is very easy but also very strong which is what I needed because the 4 bottles are quite heavy.

The card has been based on this weeks Sketch Saturday it is a little different as I left one layer off because I didn't want to cover up the cute owl paper.

Hope you and your family's aren't too depressed after this afternoons little fiasco!!! why do we expect anything more we should be used to the disappointment.

Thanks for looking Sue :o)

Playing in the sugar bowl

Hi hope you are all well? I have not been posting much lately just too busy.
I made this last night while I was watching Britain's got talent and my hands were sweating watching those gymnasts how do they do that!!!
It was hot and muggy and sweaty hands I am afraid there were a few smudges here and there hope I have managed to cover most of them up.
There is a sketch over at the sugar bowl and the theme is pink black and white.

Short and sweet I'm afraid we are off on holiday for 5 days tomorrow so lots to do... can't wait no work!!!

Sketch Saturday

I was lucky enough to get myself a set of H&S stamps from eBay I have been very good recently but I just couldn't leave them behind as they go so quickly.

Last night I just wanted to play and make a card with them and when I saw Sketch Saturday I knew it was perfect.

She has been coloured with pro-markers and the papers are last years SU sadly they are nearly all gone now and I am so sad :o(

Sorry the picture isn't brilliant not much light here again tonight.

Week 51 PFP Strawberries and Cream

Today it is my turn to choose the theme at PFP and I have chosen Strawberries and Cream... when I decided on this just after Christmas I was looking forward to the summer and the thing I love most about the summer are all the beautiful soft fruits to eat.

Sadly the summer still seems a long way off at the moment I am still wearing winter clothes and putting the heating on in the evening whatever happened to the saying "don't cast the clout till May is out" more like never cast the clout!!! .

I did get my first British strawberries today which does seem rather appropriate, our sponsor this week for the digi work shop was Tracy from "Fred She Said".
When I told Tracy my theme she said she would draw me a special image and here she is "Emma in the Strawberry Patch" isn't she gorgeous.

If you are interested in how I coloured her pop over to the weekend workshop where you can see my tutorial.

This theme is open to interpretation so you can use the Strawberry and Cream colour theme or you can use images with a Strawberry theme.

The papers are DCWV from the Sweet Stack and the charm and flowers from my stash.

Hope you have fun and thanks for looking Sue :o)

Today's The Day

No I am not talking about the General Election today's the day my dear SIL becomes a pensioner.
Now I have to say I am a little jealous...I will be 64 before I can pick up my pension, I miss the 60 yr old retirement age by a couple of years!!! so I have an extra 4 years of work ohh joy... if I still have a job after today's other big event!! here I go again always the optimist!!!

Back to SIL and here is the box card I made her.

This little box card will be filled with girly bits and pieces and of course one drawer will have some money in so she can treat herself.

Sorry the picture isn't very good the drawer got pushed in!! but it does fit nicely IRL

This card was made very quickly last night as DS hadn't bought his auntie a card nothing unusual there but I thought her birthday should be remembered by him.... 27 and mum still has to come to the rescue bless!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TESSA XXXX

Here is the inside of the card and again this is PB stamp.

Sketch Saturday

Hi and thanks for stopping by I know I have been MIA again recently but sadly it was computer problems this time.

As I may have mentioned before I work on an Apple Mac and my hard drive became damaged luckily I back everything up on a time machine but first I needed a new hard drive... now I love my Mac and I wouldn't change it for anything but when they go wrong it is an expensive business £189 for a new hard drive fitted and installed ouch that hurt.

I got it back yesterday and downloaded all my data from my time machine ooh I do love my baby!!!

This week at Sketch Saturday there is a fabulous sketch and I love it... very me all symmetrical and that's what I like!! I have made two cards today with this sketch the first one is a DT card so I can't show you that until Tuesday...this is the other one I made not for any particular reason just because I loved the sketch.

The gorguss girl is an image sent to me by a friends and the papers are BG Marrakech.

Thanks for looking Sue :o)

Lilly of the Valley Sketch

As promised I am back with the card I made the other evening.
Bev has supplied a fab sketch for this weeks challenge over at Lilly of the Valley and here is my attempt.
This card is for my boss who's Birthday was yesterday luckily I managed to get her and another manager home via the Euro star on Thursday after they were stranded in Munich on Thursday.
Sadly the others that are in the USA are still there and look to be for some time!!!

Hope you are all enjoying gorgeous weather the same as we are here in Bristol.
I have been for a lovely walk with the honey-monster today and I am just getting ready for a BBQ this evening.

Thanks for looking Sue

Sketch Saturday

long time no see!!! I seem to get less and less time to blog or make cards but today was a tough one at work... I have spent the whole day trying to get senior managers back from Germany who were there for a meeting as their flight were cancelled.
I have managed to get 2 back to the UK today but I have 4 more due to return tomorrow.
I don't think it is going to be so easy tomorrow!!! I think they may have to resort to driving back.

I needed some time to relax so blogging and making a card seemed like the best option.
I made this card at the weekend with the great Sketch at Sketch Saturday but I had no time to post so here it is now...I was very unsure about it when it was finished the colours seemed to me to be too bright but it is one of those occasions that once I took a photo I liked it a little better.
I also managed to make another card for a Birthday on Saturday which I will share with you tomorrow.
It was too late to take a photo this evening.

Thanks for looking Sue :o)
