PB meets BG

There is a fabulous sketch over at the Basic Grey challenge blog and PB challenge is anything goes. So I have used this vintage PB stamp and BG marrakech papers.
I had a go with distress inks again and it is getting a bit better... but I am still unhappy with the results, I have great problems with the skin tones this poor little chap looks as if he is sitting by the fire!!!! cutting out his piece of quiet.
The papers are marrakech, flowers are SU felt flowers and poppy craft small Lauren flowers layered and secured with a BG brad.
It still needs the sentiment in the right hand corner but couldn't decide what to use.

I learnt a very hard lesson while making this card last night always screw the top back on your distress inks!!! I knocked over a bottle of peeled paint the colour I have used for the jumper and it went every where all over my keyboard and all over the desk which didn't have a spare clear square inch!! so you can imagine how much stash I ruined, won't do that again in a hurry!!! till the next time!!!!

Thanks for looking Sue :o)

Such an adorable card Suzanne, these vintage PB images are my absolute favourites! I love the way the image works so well with your papers and embellishments too.
So sorry to hear about your accident with the inks, I did that a while back with some Sansador and nearly got knocked out by the fumes!

Oh he is adorable, gorgeous card. Sorry to hear the spill, I think I will stick to pencils the only damage they can do is my temper when I've lost my favourite colour.

fabby card Sue and I love that cute image! I'm still not as happy with my colouring with the DI either - the skin tones need to be watered down a lot and I picked up a tip from Camilla to add a touch of antique linen or other brown tone to the tattered rose. hugs, annie x

Fab card Sue and I love this image (many thanks for the one you sent me). Hope everything is now "de-inked" and not too badly stained - hey, you've probably now got a "one off design" keyboard !

Have a great weekend,

Lou
