PB meets BG

There is a fabulous sketch over at the Basic Grey challenge blog and PB challenge is anything goes. So I have used this vintage PB stamp and BG marrakech papers.
I had a go with distress inks again and it is getting a bit better... but I am still unhappy with the results, I have great problems with the skin tones this poor little chap looks as if he is sitting by the fire!!!! cutting out his piece of quiet.
The papers are marrakech, flowers are SU felt flowers and poppy craft small Lauren flowers layered and secured with a BG brad.
It still needs the sentiment in the right hand corner but couldn't decide what to use.

I learnt a very hard lesson while making this card last night always screw the top back on your distress inks!!! I knocked over a bottle of peeled paint the colour I have used for the jumper and it went every where all over my keyboard and all over the desk which didn't have a spare clear square inch!! so you can imagine how much stash I ruined, won't do that again in a hurry!!! till the next time!!!!

Just Magnolia and Sketch Saturday

At last enough time to make a card, there just don't seem to be enough hours in the day ,FIL needs a lot of TLC at the moment.
I have made this card for the 2nd Just Magnolia challenge which is pink and green and I have used the Sketch Saturday Sketch.
The papers are BG sugared and the flowers and ribbon are from my stash, I have kept this very simple as the sketch seemed to suit a clean and simple card.
Sorry about the photo there isn't really enough light at the moment I will take another one tomorrow

Thanks for looking

Stamp Something Yellow Blue and Green

I have had this new stamp sat in the drawer waiting to be used for a few weeks.. then I saw a couple of fab cards made with the stamp and I had to use it.
I have used the colour combo from the Stamp Something Challenge.
I wasn't disappointed it is gorgeous and I love how this card has turned out. I wanted to use the PB sketch but the stamp is quite large and it doesn't lend itself to lots of layers, so I have kept it very simple.
The papers are Keiser little Miss and the image has been coloured with pro-markers.The sentiment is SU but sadly the punch to give it a scalloped border is still not available so I will have to wait until they are back in stock.

New Just Magnolia Challenge

When I saw the sketch for this new Just Magnolia challenge there was just one Tilda and one lot of paper I wanted to us, the SU cherry paper in red and blue works wonderful with this little Tilda and her cherry covered pinafore dress.

I am keeping this card for a sweet little girl who will be 3 in June so I may add a number 3 at some point in the top left hand corner.

Inside the card

Now let me tell you about some great customer service I received this week.I decided on Friday afternoon at about 3pm that the spellbinder label 4 dies were just what I needed for this card and Tracey at dies to die for had them in stock so I decided to order them and have them delivered to work hopefully by Monday morning.
I arrived home from work Friday and at about 5pm received a phone call from Tracey to say she was going to post them Friday night and would I like them posted to my home address as they should be there Saturday morning. Well as you can see from my card they arrived. Many Thanks Tracey that's what I call great service and they were a good price too, so go and check out here online shop dies to die for.

Now back to the card I have used this gorgeous Tilda and coloured her with Pro markers the paper is SU as mentioned and the charm is form another fab online shop which also has great service the Hobby House how would I manage without all these fabulous cyper space shops!!

Magnolia Vs Stampavie

There is a fabulous sketch over on Magnolia Vs Stampavie this week which has been supplied by my lovely blogging buddy MichelleO.
I have used this beautiful Tilda which was sent to me by Wendy from my SBS group 9 in an image swap we have just participated in.
I think I need this image as I would have loved to have put her sitting on something but of course I couldn't mask the image as I only had one precious one to play with.
I have used the beautiful BG papers Marrakech the colours are beautiful and I love them.
Sadly I didn't have just the right colour of ribbon so I have used this SU pumpkin ribbon but it is even more obvious in the photo this is not the right colour!!!

SCSC Stripes

I seem to be in simple card mode at the moment..I wanted to make a card with this beautiful stamp by "impression obsession" for my gardening friend for Easter. I always think of Easter as a time to start using the garden.
Over at SCSC it is to use stripes and CCT is for citrus colours the only problem is I am not sure that a pair of Wellies with flowers in count as cute!!!
The papers are SU again and the punch is Martha Stewert

Thanks for lookindg Sue

WOJ Distressing Challenge

I have kept the inside very simple.

Is this distressed enough for you? as anyone who knows me knows I hate tearing ripping inking etc perfectly good paper and card but I do quite like the results when these cards are finished.
I was in the process of making this card when we had the phone call about Andy's mum on Wednesday night, I finished it off tonight and decided it would be quite nice to make it into a Thank You card for the lovely Staff nurse who dealt with us in the early hours of Thursday morning she was so lovely.
WOJ distressing challenge, WOJ stamp, Laura Ashley "Love Song" papers and flowers and doily from stash.

Sad Day

Thank you to everyone who has shown such care and concern regarding my MIL, sadly she died last night.
She had been suffering lately so although it was a shock it wasn't unexpected and it was nice to see her at peace and pain free.
I will be back soon.
Many Thanks
Sue
