Playing in the sugar bowl

As promised here is the other card I made last night, two posts in one day!!! make the most of it there probably won't be anymore for a while!!
I have made this card for the sugar bowl challenge for Spring, not bright colours but it does make me think of Spring.
The papers are DCWV the backing is made from the 12x12 stack and the other two layers are from the matt stack so same patterns but smaller writing.
Again the image was sent to me by Annie and the flowers have been made with prima flowers and retro punch and findings from stash.
I have made several cards with a similar layout and I always like how the turn out I think its because I like symmetry.

WOJ Sketch Challenge

This is a little peep at the inside when I try and photo the inside I can never get the camera to focus!!

When I was at home yesterday I found a few images that had been coloured but never been made into cards (these were found while tidying my craft room) note too self always keep the craft room tidy it is so much easier to create in a tidy room!!

One of the image was Melinda blowing kisses..I have coloured her with pro markers to go with the Laura Ashley papers I bought a while back.So in my nice tidy craft room I made this card and another which I will show you later.
The great sketch has been provided by Donalda for the WOJ challenge, the papers are Laura Ashley and the scrolls are made with my spellbinder dies, flowers from stash and sentiment craftwork cards.

Double Dutch Challenge

I have been waiting in for the man to come and look at my Kitchen floor after the flood on Friday so I had time to give my craft room a good tidy and then a play. I have been stoking these beautiful crate papers called "Blue Hill" since I bought them at the NEC earlier this month!!!

I have used another new challenge blog to me Double Dutch which has a great sketch this week
The pretty little image was sent to me by Annie, the flowers are from my stash and the little scroll in the corner was made with my new spellbinder doodle parts.
I haven't put a sentiment on it yet as I am not sure what I am going to use it for.

Penny Black Saturday meets Stamp Something

Hi all still finding it difficult to find time to craft even with my day off on Friday, the dishwasher decided to flood the kitchen on Friday luckily I hadn't gone out just into the garden to put some washing on the line so it wasn't anywhere near as bad as it could have been!!

I managed to have a play yesterday while the football was on I have used this fabulous sketch over at stamp something I have never used this challenge before but this sketch is fab and I am in he process of making another card with the same sketch.
This also fits in with the theme on PB Saturday which is spring now as I don't own this stamp this was sent to me in a image swap I am not 100% sure it is PB but I think it is .. please correct me if I am wrong before I link my card too the challenge.

The papers are the beautiful BG urban prairie and the flowers are made with the EK success retro flower punch and other flowers from my stash.
I wish I had punched the strip across the back with a Martha Stewart punch but it was too late as I had stuck everything down.

Hope you are all having a lovely weekend and the lack of sleep due to British Summer time isn't affecting you all to much!!!

A little bit ambitious!!! and tagged

I received some lovely old PB stamps from Dickie yesterday and one was this beautiful English country cottage I decided last night to try and make my first scene with this lovely stamp, I also used the carefree sugar nellie.
This has taken me ages to colour and I am not to sure about it but I have made it into a card to send to a colleague at work who is recovering from an operation.

The papers are some I was sent in a RAK over a year ago so I don' know what they are and the flowers were also in the same RAK which I have teamed up with the retro punch and some spacers.

I have been tagged by Natalie you need to show the 4th photo in the 4th folder on your computer... this photo was taken in the summer of 2003 and this is my darling Meg who sadly died in August 2006. She would have been nearly 10 in this photo and was still like a puppy at that time.

Should be back soon!!

Thank you all for your kind comments and concern about MIL and my tooth abscess.
MIL came home from hospital yesterday but sadly she is never going to be completely well again, dementure is such a cruel disease.
I am beginning to feel human again at last, every cloud has a silver lining as they say I lost 4.5lbs this week thanks to my tooth abscess, not a recommended way to loose weight though!!!

I am home tomorrow dog sitting as my neighbour who looks after Honey in the day is going away for a few days so hopefully Honey permitting I will get some crafting done.

I should have been going to Harrogate this weekend but something else turned up which I couldn't put off.
So all you girls that are going to the "Great North Paper Extravaganza" have a great time and don't forget to show me your goodies.

First Easter Card

This card started out using the Friday Sketchers Sketch but I just couldn't make it work so I gave up and here is how it ended up.
Thought it would help me to sit and concentrate on a card for an hour but sadly it didn't take my mind off the pain and it is such a beautiful day too.
The papers are last years DCWV spring stack and the little egg are some I bought last year at the garden centre and never used.

Thanks For looking Sue :o)

Still here just about!!

I am not going to apologise for not being about much and failing to get around to your fabulous blogs, life has just got totally in the way.
MIL was taken into hospital on Tuesday it is all very sad and quite draining, today I have been to the dreaded dentist with yet another infection under the same back molar this is the third time in the last 18 months. I have had enough now and when this course of antibiotics is finished I am having it out no more trying to save it!!!!

Hope to get round to visit soon. Luv Sue :o)

Playing in the sugar bowl!!!

I have admired this little stamp for a while but never gotten round to buying it, so on Saturday when there was a lady there selling Sugar Nellie's at 5 for £20 I managed to get hold of a few older ones that I really wanted.

I have made this card for the sugar bowl challenge and I will be giving it to my mum..
The papers and card are all SU as is the hodge podge frame for the sentiment and the brads.
The butterfly is covering up a bo bo I made when my hand slipped with the pro-marker when I was looking at my swollen finger, not sure what I have done but my index finger on my right hand is really sore and swollen!!

This is the inside of the card.

Design Team Call for "Dies to Die For"

Inside the card

I have never entered anything like this before.. I don't have the confidence in what I make but I thought you have to be in it to win it so here I go!!

I have used one of my favourite PB stamps "Cheesecake Party" the paper are papermania sweet nothings, the swirl and flower are Bazzill rub-ons with rhinestones, and the large flower is made up from bits from my stash.

I have used the fabulous Friday Sketchers sketch by Mumur and the image is coloured with pro markers.

If you want to enter you can find the detail here over at Dies to Die For where Tracy has a great choice of products with many new ones just added.

Spoonful Sugar and Friday Sketchers

The challenge this week on spoonful of sugar is to TEAR PAPER!!!! now for anyone who knows me this is my nemesis I just can't do it!!!
My Tim Holt's distressing tool arrived to day so along with this and a fiskers tear edger I have managed to distress this card.
The papers are BG "urban prairie" again they are just beautiful, the gorgeous little sugar nellie image was sent to me by Annie and I have used the Friday Sketchers sketch.
I haven't used these pro-markers colours before as I didn't have any papers to match but I am pleased with them they go well with the papers.

I haven't had time yet to decorate the inside it has taken me 2 hrs so far...it is hard work distressing!!
