I have been tagged by Natalie

I have been tagged by Natalie. The rules are you have to go to your picture folders and choose the sixth folder and then the sixth picture.
Now I must explain I have been using digital for several years so this photo was taken in Sept 2004, with my first digital camera.

It was taken on a Holiday to Canada we were at a husky dog visitors centre near Banff this is DH looking decidedly younger!! with a very fierce looking husky who in fact was a real softy, so glad it was the 6th picture and not the 7th which is me with the same dog and I am not sure who looks more scary.

I am going to tag Annie, Viv, Vikki, Michelle and Steph.

Sarah Kay Challenge & Awards

Its all or nothing with me two posts in one day!! This time it is a sketch for the Sarah Kay Challenge.
We went to the garden centre this morning and I bought the new Laura Ashley Blossom pack , it has beautiful glittery 6x6 papers matching glittery sticky ribbons, brads, matching chipboard shapes and some beautiful embossed cards.
Sadly you can't see the glitter in the photo, I think I need some photographic lessons!!

Thanks for looking Sue :o)

I want to say a great big thank you to everyone who have left me awards this week I really appreciate it. I am so behind with everything so I am going to put them in my sidebar with the names of everyone you left them for me, I am sure most of you have had them by now but if you haven't please take it ... I am giving them to you with much gratitude. Sue :o)

3 for the price of 1!!!

I started this card for the "frame it" challenge on Penny Black and I wanted to use the Saturday Sketch layout so I combined them when it was finished I realized it fitted in with this weeks Spoonful of Sugar challenge as well. I know its cheating and I really admire all you girls that get all these challenges done with single cards and go to work no names mentioned!!! but I figure its fits all 3 so why not.

Click pictures for better view

Inside the card

The papers are the gorgeous BG two scoops and the little image was one that was sent to me in a swap the sentiment inside the card id SU and says "one little baby many happy hearts" the flowers are made from an XCut punch. I have added the little pink bead angel I thought it would be rather nice for the parents to use on their mobile phone after the card was finished with. I bought these from the lovely Marlene for Christmas cards burt couldn't bring myself to use them all!!
Hope you are all having a great weekend and thank for looking Sue :o)

This card isn't for any of the challenges I haven't had time this week. I have made this for my sister. The layout has been inspired by Claudia at pretty pressing, my nestabilities came today and I just had to use them.

Sketch Saturday

There is a great sketch over on Sketch Saturday and my little WOJ mouse came yesterday so I decided to combine using the cute little mouse with the sketch.

This card is very simple and definitely no flowers as it is for my baby who will be 26 on Wednesday, where does the time go!!
He has come to appreciate my cards over the past year and doesn't think they are a cheap!! option anymore.
I just hope he likes it.

I will be decorating the inside but I wanted to get a picture before the light has gone completely

The papers are BG archaic and just the job for men's cards.
The letters were free on a magazine before Christmas

DO NOT ADJUST YOUR BLOG!!!

No you are not seeing things I have decided not to put my Christmas kit away and when I get a sketch I like.. I a going to make a Christmas card and put it away for next year that way I might have enough cards for everyone to have a handmade one !!!
I also had several stamps and papers that didn't see the light of day and if I use them now I won't be tempted by new ones!!

Thanks for looking

Spoonful of Sugar and CCT

Let me start by saying the inside had not been decorated because I am not sure about this card.
I take my hat off to all you girls that sew on your card it is not easy!!
I have used the sketch on spoonful of sugar and CCT was to use something new, I had a mini sewing machine for Christmas but it is years since I have used one and I didn't find it easy any tips from you pros out there will be very much appreciated.
So here it is but I don't think I will be using it this will just be a trial run.

Light box was ordered today so may try and take some better pictures of the past few cards when it arrives.

Papertake weekly challenge

This week the challenge on Papertake Weekly is seeing spots.
I seem to be into Fairies and Elves at the moment!! I am not sure who the image is by as it is one sent to me by the lovely Jill in a RAK but she/he is very sweet.
The papers are craftwork cards which I have had ages and never used and the flowers and brad are from stash.
Sentiment is SU I do love these round sentiments.
Not very clear in the picture but the wings and the matting layers have been highlighted with sakura silver gelly roll pen and paper is also a bit blingi.

Sorry about the photo still no lightbox!!!

Pollycraft Monday Challenge

This is my first attempt at the Pollycraft challenge which this week is doodling, I do love these images and I had to invest in some today!! This one was kindly sent to me by the lovely Diane.
They are such a pleasure to colour.. I have used the PM simply elegant papers which don't need much more because they are so beautiful, flowers from stash and sentiment SU.
I have doodled around the image and the sentiment and used a little 3D glitter heart and some thin ribbon to cover the holly on the image so I could use it as a Birthday card.

SWEET SUGAR NEW YEAR CHALLENGE

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ONE AND ALL

Well what better way to start the new year than with the new Sugar Bowl Challenge with a fabulous sketch by Tiets.
This fits in with my resolve to take time and trouble over my cards this year and try and make cards I am happy with and not "just that will do cards"!!
I have had this gorgeous Maggie Stamp for well over a year and I have never inked her up can you believe that!! I expect there are lots of you out there that can relate to this statement.

This is the inside of the card, I have seen lots of people decorating the inside of their cards and it certainly finishes it off.
