Firstly can I say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who made a card and sent it to someone to brighten their day, you are all amazingly kind generous people.

Mum was not available to do the judging tonight so I put DH on the spot he has taken this very seriously and has found it very difficult to pick just one winner but finely after much deliberation we have a winner and a very worthy winner it is too

Here are your beautiful cards

I want to do something special for my blogoversary and 30,000 hits BLOG CANDY
The October "Think Pink" campaign for Breast Cancer Awareness is very close to my heart and I am sure it is the same for many of you too.
So when the new "Tilda Think Pink" stamps were released on Saturday I was straight on the site to order 2 Tilda's and a couple of sentiments.
I have decided as you girls have been so kind and supportive over the past year I am going give one of each... a BCA Tilda and sentiment along with lots of pink goodies to make your cards with.
No picture at the moment but as soon as the stamps arrive I will post one. I am going to keep this open for the whole month of October and I will get my Mum to choose a winner on Friday 31st October at 20.00 hrs.
Here is what I would like you to do.. if you have time can you make a pink card and send it to someone who could do with a little tender loving care.
It would be lovely if it was someone who's life has been touched by this terrible disease but it can be anyone who could do with a kind word and a beautiful card to cheer them up.. I am sure we all know someone.

I have made these bags filled with mini toblerone's



I have never done anything like this before and I really don't know what to charge!!



Each bag takes one piece of 12x12 paper a few embellishments and 40p worth of chocolate

How much do you think I should charge?

Sketch Saturday

Looks like I am going to make it just in time for Sketch Saturday with this card.

When I saw this PB duck with his two hedgie friends I knew I just had to have it!!

The papers are DCWV again and a little bit of bling and that's it, the white edge is actually a frame and after sticking it down I did think it would have looked better in red but it was too late!!

WOJ Sketch Challenge

The lovely Jill sent me some stamped images of this chair and also some on patterned paper so I could paper pierce it.

I happened to have the same paper so I used it for the main part of the card and all others papers are K & Co

I am online at the pace of a snail!!!

I am back online tonight but very frustrated the connection is just too slow.. it is taking me forever to do anything.
I have uploaded all your lovely cards for the blog candy and added a picture of the Tilda to go with all the pink goodies.

I couldn't face another night of arguments on the phone, it is like knocking your head against a brick wall... it was I line fault but try getting them to admit that.. if I was made to go through one more security check and system check I think I would have screamed!!

I made this card last week for one of the challenges but I can't remember which one and it will be too late now anyway.

I have missed so much on your lovely blogs I just haven't got enough time to cach up with comments so I will start a fresh tomorrow, I have been having a look and everything is gorgeous.

Hi Everyone!

Just want to say THANK YOU to everyone who has taken the time to make cards for my blog candy challenge, I will upload all your cards into the slide show ASAP. I am managing to leave a few comments and having a look at your blogs at lunchtime but I must say 30 mins is not long enough!!
Latest update on the Internet SAGA.. it has now been established that it is a BT line fault and they are working on it!!!
Oh I do miss my Internet I could never live anywhere without any access hope to catch up with you all soon.

Internet update!!

Well after numerous telephone call to our provider ( all ending up in India) we finally established yesterday lunchtime that it wasn't a problem with my equipment and there is a problem with the line into the house which is what I told them Thursday!!!

Anyway after loosing my rag which I hate doing after all the customer service people are only taking the calls I threatened to leave and find another provider, I was promised it would be sorted by 12 noon today and guess what I still don't have any access.

I have popped over to my son's before I start cooking lunch!!
I did have some pictures to share but for some reason the computer won't upload from the memory stick I am using.

Dog training tomorrow night so hopefully back Tuesday, oh the Tilda's came yesterday for the blog candy I was post a picture ASAP.

Sorry No Internet Access

Just Christmas and Birthday Cards Sketch 2

I hate these dark nights having to take all the photo's under artificial light I can never get it right!!.
I was not sure which was the better photo so I decided to post both.
This is a new challenge blog by Karin which is what it says Just Christmas and Birthday Cards a good way of adding to the stash of just in case cards which I never seem to have enough of.

I used the sketch over at Karin's Just Christmas and Birthday Cards Sketch Blog for this one a nice simple card made without any fuss or embellishments... I think I will be making more like this!!!



For this one I used this FF image sent to me by the lovely Gina and again a very simple and easy to make card.

Friday Sketchers Meets H&S

I have used this lovely H&S image... I am so desperate to get my hands on some of these little babies does anyone know when they are due to hit us here in the UK. These papers are my favourite DCWV which are from last year and I still keep going back to this stack I love it!!.
The Friday Sketchers sketch is fab and I will be using this again.



I wanted here coat to look like velvet but I am not so sure I have achieved it, what do you think?

Did you notice my blog has gone pink for October to promote the BCA campaign, don't forget the blog candy and make someone happy.

SU Gift Folder

I belong to a stamping 10 group run by the lovely Monica and along with my last order she sent me some instructions on how to make this folder which holds 3-5 cards which make a great gift.

I decided to have a play last night and this is what I came up with, all paper and card are SU but the flower stamp is papertry ink as I don't own a suitable SU stamp yet!!.

It is FIL's Birthday tomorrow and he is in his 80's so no cute cards tonight.
This stamp is from a new SU set that I bought from a friend who has just started up, I love this set great for men's cards.
I have used the Sketch Saturday sketch.
Paper is from a book of papers that I bought from the "book people" and ribbon and buttons from stash.

All shopped out!!! and Blogoversary

Well I have just got back from the new Cabot Circus shopping centre which opened in Bristol last week, not being much of a shopper usually unless it is crafting goodies of course 5 hours shopping is a bit of a marathon for me!!
I have mixed feeling about the new centre it all feels a bit disjointed , I went to Harvey Nicks...I have been now won't be rushing back but there is a very nice "House of Fraser" and best of all we now have an "Apple" store and a" Radley" store these are the only things that would make me go back for more.!!

Sorry I haven't been about to leave comments today but I will be back tomorrow.

I am in the middle of cooking roast dinner for us all at the moment then it will be time to sit down and watch strictly come dancing... gosh Austin and Tom both rocked last night sorry to all you girls over the pond I know you don't know what I am talking about.

I have just been reminded by a couple of you it is my blogoversary today and I am just short of 30,000 hits I can't believe it is a year ago I decided to start this I have made so many lovely virtual friends in this year.

Think it is time for me to do some blog candy I will get my thinking cap on and get back to you on that one

World Card Making Day

My SBS9 sister Wendy has some blog candy challenges on her blog for WCMD.
Challenge one is to make a holiday card with bling and as I had just made this one and it fits the bill I thought I would enter it.

Charlotte has some bling on her hat in the form of stickles and her book is coloured with metallic silver gelly roll pen, the brads are sparkly too but sadly not much of this shows up in the photo.
