Water Colour Paper with Nellie and Tilda
Hi all sorry about the photos it is a dark miserable day here in Bristol and I can't see it getting any better!!
But I really wanted to share this with you, one of my favorite designers Kimmie over at Kraftin Korner is always talking about her favorite SU watercolour paper that she uses to stamp and colour onto, and her colouring is awesome.
So yesterday I decided to go and buy some water colour paper from an art shop, let me start by saying it's not cheap but my first attempts with it yesterday with my whispers watercolour pens were fairly good even if I do say so myself!!
I bought 300gsm which if you are worried about the paper bending it is more like card, but when you use it, does not bleed or bend like ordinary card, I also used my water brush and the paper just absorbs the colour.
I have same lovely water colour pencils that my hubby bought me so I am going to try these today.
Have a good day Sue :o)

Dad
Clumsy Monday
Decided to go for a walk at lunchtime as it was a nice day,got my foot caught in a hole in the ground that was covered in leaves and I went down like a bag of stones on a gravel path, I put my hands out to save myself and now they are all scratched and sore.
So no crafting for me for a couple of days Sue :O(

New Craft Club
I went to my new craft club yesterday, and the project was this paper bag book, yes it is made from brown paper bags and pretty papers of course.
It will make a nice keep sake for our trip to Rome last year, I will publish some photos of the finished project when I get round to doing it!! Christmas cards seem to have taken over at the moment. I did manage to get some made at the club yesterday and did lots of colouring ready to get some more made.
It is always strange going to a new club for the first time, but I was lucky that Pauline and Jan where there so I knew someone.
Will try and post some cards later, I have had 2 lovely days without any boring chores so I suppose I had better get on and do some lol. Sue :o)

Beate's weekend challenge # 27
I don't get time in the week to do the challenges, but Beate's weekend one is good for me because it is open until Wednesday morning, I did get it done quickly this week though.
I bought this penny black stamp a couple of weeks ago and this is the first time I have used it.
Mum's birthday is December, dads is next week and I still haven't made his card. I jut don't like making cards for men, you can't use all the pretty papers and sparkly bits!!

Angel Card
I needed a simple card that I could make a lot of quite easily. My woodware punches arrived yesterday which was great because it enabled me to come up with this card.
I also have a quickutz candle as well as this angel, so I will mass produce (well about 30) this card with a variation on a theme, e.g different coloured circles different corners etc Sue :o)

Beate's weekend challenge
I have been wanting to try one of these multi layer cards for a while, but was always worried about getting the proportions correct.
I stumbled on this challenge at the weekend whole blogging, and it was a perfect layout for having a go!!
The papers are from a DCWV stack,I embossed the purple with cuttlebug swirls and of course this is one of the gorgeous Magnolia stamps. Sue :o)

Hectic Day
Went out this morning to a large garden centre about 25 miles from where I live, they have this fab winter snow scene with lots of little animals, forgot my camera took some with my mobile but I can't upload them, will try and go again before Christmas and get some pics. Houseful of people to lunch today, we have a big firework display just up the road from me, so we had Sunday Lunch and then went and watched the fireworks.
Natalie,Tara,Michelle,Nick, Dawn and Julie will all get a set of Hanna's sometime this week, will try and do them tomorrow night, don't want to rush and spoil the stamping and it's getting a bit late now.
Thank you all so much for all your kind comments.
I can count!!
I know its 6 not 5 but I had already promised Julie some for kindly getting me some craft goodies. Sue :o)

Happy Saturday
Ok Let me explain, I have just got back from scrapbooking and three great things have happened.
1. I have pictures of my friend Bev's new baby (now named) Lucas Henry
2. I have hit the 500 visitors to my blog in less than a month ( great considering I didn't think anyone would visit)
3. My Hanna stamps are not lost in the post there here in my hot sticky hands.
To celebrate the first 5 people (UK only) who leave me their name and address in the comments section ( Promise I won't publish them)
will get a set of Hanna's stamped, and sent in the post on Monday.
Happy Saturday Sue :o)
Male Happy Birtday
I am up early this morning thanks to my husband and his 7.10 golfing start!!!
I hate making men's birthday cards but they do like receiving handmade ones just the same as the girls, and I have three to make this month, this is one I made last night.
Thank you to Dawn at all pink girls for the tip about the A4 box.
This photo was taken at 7am and its not bad at all.
Off to scrapbooking crop later. Sue :o)

Christmas Hedgehogs
Not much to say today, I tried last night to make some Christmas cards but this was all I could come up with. Better luck tonight, I need to finish my little ATC type cards tonight to take to my crop tomorrow.
Two more cute stamps arrived in the post "Maddy and Milo" and "Penny Black Cheesecake Party".
I need some inspiration.
Hubby's cooking tea tonight so I will have a bit more time!!! Sue :o)
AHHHHHHH
Sorry I need to have a grumpy old woman moment before I do my proper post.
Let me explain where I live you have the choice of TESCO, TESCO EXPRESS or TESCO EXPRESS, you get the picture tesco's or nothing.
I needed to go in there on my way home from work to buy some milk and get money for my husband for tomorrow morning for his 7.10 golfing start, yes thats right 7.10 are these golfers completely mad!!
Any way I digrese,I get to the checkout and its the usual story at about 5pm one of the buisiest times of the day everyone is going home, all I wanted to do was pay for my milk come home and have a cup of tea , but oh no the machine didn't want me to do that, it wanted me to stand there for nearly 10 minutes while 4 people try to decide what to do with the new card machine.
Don't get me wrong I feel so sorry for the staff that have to use these new machines without any proper training on how they work.
Anyway that's enough just to say I hate tesco!!

Second Take
I know you have seen this card before, but not such a good photo!!
I finally plucked up the courage to ask my boss for some advice, he is a bit of a photographer.
Anyway he gave me some really good tips, I had the shutter speed set to slow ( I think), sound like I know what I am talking about!!!
He reset it for me and took this photo, and told me how to get some better pictures.
Many thanks to Michelle who also gave me some good tips.
Watch out David Bailey!!! Sue :o)
I have Magnolias
I came home from work and my Magnolias were here, can't wait to use them. Still no Hanna's I think they must be lost in the system somewhere!!!
These little ATC type cards have been made to take to my last crop on Saturday, they have my details on the back so if any of the girls do want to keep in touch they can. It is a little Bella called Stamping Bella, think she is meant for stamping on the back of any Bella cards you might make, but she is just right for these ATC type cards, Sue :0)
