1. If you could have 100.00 worth of scrapbook paper or assorted embellishments, which would you choose?

Papers every time, the trouble is I like to look at them for a while before I use them!!!

2. If you had to choose between using only stamps or rubons, which would you choose?

Stamps every time there are just so many gorgeous one available.

3. If you knew how to do both awesome cards and layouts but could only do one for a whole year...which would you do?

Cards, I like scrapbooking but I love giving cards to people and making them smile.

4. Would you rather own a scrapbooking store or have your own scrapping room at home?

Since Neil left home to live in his own house I have a lovely big craft room, I would love to have a craft store

5. And last but not least, what is your CURRENT cardmaking or scrapping style?

I like less is more type cards, but sometimes I struggle and find it quite difficult but I am getting there!!

Bev's had her baby

My friend Bev had her baby today, a little boy (no name yet).
I am so thrilled for her she now has a baby boy and a little girl Millie.

I have cards to post, but I can't get any good pictures in the electric light.

craft room

As you got a glimpse of my new craft room in the retail therapy post, I thought I would show you the rest. Sue :o)



This is my printer area, I am very lucky I have a printer with a scanner and I also have a seperate photo printer which I use for my scrapbooking.



This is my unit where I keep my cuttlebug and quickutz and also my X cut guilotine. The pink box has all my bella's in, I will decorate it when I have time. I dont keep craft stuff in all the drawers I have the middle 2 large ones and 2 of the small top ones. There is also a box of K & CO embelliments that I bought from QVC, havn't used very much out of it yet may have to sell it on!!, and a box with off cuts I find it hard to throw anything away. Oh and the little blue lion sat ontop of my quickutz box is leoli, he was my son's favorite toy as a baby wouldn't go to sleep without him ahhhhh.



Here is my desk area with my beloved apple mac, the small screen is the old tele from our bedroom.

Retail Therapy

Had some retail therapy today bought some trays for my card, it gets damaged in the boxes so I am hoping this solution will keep it better. See photo.
Top tray A4 mixed second tray my beloved bazzil, third tray DCWV metallic, fourth tray DCWV mixed plain cardstock.
Also bought myself a new chair in staples where I bought the trays, bargain at £25. We were by the grange so I went in and bought the DCWV 6x6 christmas stack, I have the 8x8 glitterstack but it is more traditional colours this has come nice pink papers which is what I wanted for the girls. Oh I also bought a mouse mat with one of those gel pads for you wrist, doing so much blogging looking at all these talented people cards my wrist gets sore!!!
You think this is bad him indoors went and bought a 26" flat screen tele for the bedroom to watch his golf!!!!
I am cheap at half the price. Sue :o)

Boxing on the tele so I came back up to make this one for my sister and her family.

Just got back from the harvester I just love the salad bar, but I have eaten to much so there wont be much crafting tonight.
Hubbys getting a bit fed up about spending every evening on his own downstairs, but I just love it here in my new craft room.

My best friend Pat sent my son and his girlfriend a card with a "next" voucher for their new home, so sweet of her.
I made this card to send tomorrow to say thank you.

Had a bit of senior moment yeserday, thought I had ordered family christmas greeting, but as Julie quite rightly pointed out they dont do them!!!!

Helping Becci and Neil fix a new gate on their garden tomorrow but hopefully hubby is at golf on Sunday and I can craft to my hearts content. Sue :0)

More Winter Snuggles

My craftwork cards order finally arrived today, but sadly the family christmas messages that I really wanted didn't arrive!!!
Decided I needed to get on and make some more christmas cards anyway, otherwise I am not going to fulfill my mission to give everyone a handmade card this year.
This penny black stamp winter snuggles is great, I have used it more than any of the others that I bought, will try the little clear Christmas critters tomorrow.

Bella and Moo

Been experimenting with some shiney card tonight. Made Moo first, just love the fun of this stamp not made for anyone in particular.

The bella has been made for my son's girlfriend Becci, she is a hairdresser and is starting out on her own soon, good luck card for her.

Quite like the shiney card makes the colours more intense, but it is harder to take photo's in electric light because of the glare.

Had time to play with my bella's tonight, pleased with the cake bella.
Shame about the Bridal party the second one in looks a bit like a frog, tried stamping several time but it came out the same each time. Will have another go but have others to play with first!! Sue :0)

Millie's Exploding Box

This box was made for Millie's 4th birthday. The photos I used inside were taken at another friends baby's christening. I also made Ellie a box instead of a Christening card sadly I forgot to take any photos before I gave it to her.

My Bella's were here from Canada when I got home today, I ordered them the same day as my craftwork cards stuff and that still isn't here strange that!!!

Cant wait to get started, but had a very busy day at work today and Neil was here for tea tonight.
Think hubby is off to golf tomorrow night wants to make the most of what is left of the light nights so will get some time then, work so gets in the way Sue:0)

Birthday Flowers

Spent most of the day yesterday sorting out my new craft room.
Made these two last night when the rugby was on, not a big sports fan myself.
The Blue one is for a new lady who has started in our department at work, and as you can see she is 40 this week.
The pink one is for my friend Bex who's birthday is also this week.
The flower looks a bit red in the picture but it is a dark pink in real in real life.

Golden Wedding

Thank goodness it's Friday, it has been a long old week.
In the process of setting up my new craft room,it feels very disloyal jumping into Neil's bedroom when he hardly has his foot out of the door. He has got a very nice home of his own now though.
Hopefully everything will be in better order in the new room, and I can get going with some new stamps I have received this week.
This card was made in August for my sisters mother in law.

New Pad

Well we finally got my son and his girlfriend moved into their new home yesterday. Bitter sweet moment for me, I am so pleased to see them with a home of their own but it is going to be very lonely and quiet in our house for a while. Every cloud has a silver linning, I can now have a proper craft room not just the small spare one.Made this very quickly tonight before we went to see them, good old penny black stickeroos can always be relied on to make a quick simple card. Sorry not very good photo dark when I took it this was the best of 3, really need to learn how to take better photos. Sue :0)

Fab Day

Hi I have just got back from a fab spa day at Celtic Manor in wales, I went with my son's girlfriend Becci.
Had a gorgeous coconut and milk wrap and a lovely Elimis facial, I should feel revived but I am so tiered and a busy day looms tomorrow, the chinese take away is calling tonight. Really should be making them a card for thier new home they might have to wait until later in the week.
This is a birthday card I made some time ago but havn't had the right person to give it to yet.

Good news and Bad news

Just got back from my crop and the bad news is we are going to have to disband after more than 2 years together. The place were it is held which is a large garden centre have decided they want the room for more important things!!! ask yourself the question is there anything more important than crafting.

Ah but now for the good new Pauline gave me the name of a lady that runs a crop only a couple of miles from where I live (forgot to mention the one I go to is nearly 15 miles away). I popped into the crop on my why home what a lovely lady,plus they had an online shop there and joy oh joy they had bazzill card stock impossible to find near where I live and prima flowers those great big ones that I have been looking for and DKWV and more, just a shame I didn't have more cash with me, never mind theres always next time.

Anyway the cards I have postd today where made for my friend Bev at work ( who is about to have a baby any time) and her little girl Millie for her first day at school. I have a mac computer that I love but it is sometimes difficult to get craft software for it, but I managed to get Greeting Card Factory which is what I used for the wording.

Off out tonight so I will need to record my beloved strictly come dancing and watch tomorrow

Penny Black Snowmen

Just love these snowmen, white layer has been embossed with cuttlebug snowflake folder not very clear in photo, not sure about the glitter paper just a little bit to much BLING for me. Tomorrow is my scrapbooking crop, only go once a month but it's the only time I seem to get anything done. Have a good weekend Sue :o)

Naughty or Nice

This is the penny black stamp naughty or nice, I have used the whole stamp on the purple card and just the little snowman on the end for the blue one.
Sadly the pictures are not very good because the natural light time to take them in is getting shorter and shorter, roll on spring is all I can say.

1st Birthday

I made this card using my quickutz revelolution that my husband so kindly bought for my birthday this year.
I was pleased with the result but I am so into rubber stamping at the moment I don't use it as much as I should.This was for little Cameron who lives next door to me.

Exploding Box

Thought I would post something different tonight.
I made this exploding box for a friend for her brother's 40th Anniversary, she kindly gave me permission to post it on my blog today thank you Geneen.
This was a project in one of the Do Craft Magazines and to date I have made 5 all very different.
There are 3 different layers and then a couple of photos of the completed project.
Thank you once again for looking and can I just say my thoughts are with Kitty today.

More Rudolf's & Cozy

Here are a couple more rudolf's that I made last night, I made a couple the same but with red stickles on the white oval.
I like these stickles they are a cost effective way of adding a bit of sparkle, their noses are red gems.
I have also included a card I made earlier in the month with penny black stamp "cozy".
Husband is out tonight been to a golf society day so no need to cook can craft instead. Son and girlfriend my need feeding later but that can be nice and simple ham egg and chips!!
Anyway must get on with the crafting :o)

Well the Autum is here, I know it is warm and we are having an Indian summer but strictley come dancing has started and to me this means autum.
My saturday nights for the next 12 weeks will be spent in front of the telly cheering on my favorites. I know it's sad but I love it!! and joy oh joy there is going to be a results show on a Sunday.
Unfoutunatley have to do the boring housework today.
